Sewing has become a major part of my life over the last year and a half. While I did learn some basics from my mother many years ago-most of what I do has been self taught, using blogs, tutorials, books, etc.
There are SO many tutorials on the internet these days. You can find one for just about ANYTHING you can imagine. However, I have learned from experience, not all tutorials are created equally. Before I start a new project, I usually try to find several tutorials. I like to compare the tips and procedures. Some tutorials are explained in ways I understand quickly. Others...not so much. Some leave out important steps(especially for beginners) and some are all together wrong.
So, I put a list together of my favorite websites/blogs to use for sewing tutorials, tips, and patterns:
- Purl Soho
- Sew Mama Sew
- Anyone Can Quilt
- Zaaberry
- All Free Sewing
- Sew 4 Home
- Spoonflower
- i heart linen
- See Kate Sew
- Anna Maria Horner
There are quite a few other sites I frequent, these are just some of my favorites:) Do you have a favorite that I haven't listed here??? If so, please let me know!
Thanks for stopping by!
Best wishes,
Kelly

The internet is such a blessing just for this fact alone! I love being able to learn "how to" before I "try to."
ReplyDeleteThanks for the list.
